Mental Health Month Poster

Poster design for WayAhead Mental Health Month 2023.

The puzzled heart poster visualises the importance of the different roles each person can provide to support themselves or anyone that experienced or is struggling with mental health. The incomplete, scattered puzzle pieces communicate that "We all have a role to play", and each role is essential to complete the heart.

The poster encourages viewers to partake in adding to the missing pieces - and the question mark on one of the puzzles shows that we can choose what role we would like to serve.

Some of the hearts offer a glimpse of the different roles we can take, from gifting a lovely flower to make someone's day, sending a nice message, having a break to enjoy a nice sunny day, to talking and showing compassion to someone in need. There is an open-ended aspect to the design that allows viewers to reflect on the poster.
